Saving the earth and bringing about an awareness for the rate of pollution and greenhouse effects ahs long been on the forefront for Al Gore. Al Gore, who has received much accolades for his movie, “An Inconvenient Truth” has brought about much needed attention to the global warming crisis that we face every day. With the help of huge celebrities, Al Gore continues to press on and push the message of his inconvenient truth.
Celebrities such as U2’s Bono, have been on the forefront for bringing about the much needed attention for this crisis. More recently, actress Cameron Diaz has also taken on the storm of the Inconvenient Truth. Appearing on talk shows and entertainment shows, Cameron Diaz is now touring with Vice President Al Gore in an attempt to shake up or nation and make people realize that we can not go on continuing down the path that we are on.
The most recent showing of celebrities in support of Al Gore’s was at the Live Earth benefit concert on July 7, 2007, more commonly known as 7/7/7. This was one of the most precedent live events all around the earth in an effort to being an awareness to global warming, recycling and slowing the breaking down of global pollution and the effects that it has on the earth. Live Earth had performances by many major celebrities all around the world, including London and New Jersey. This was perhaps one of the greatest performances and benefit concerts that has been brought to the public forum to date, and all for a good cause.
Cameron Diaz is happy to be on the platform with Al Gore. Cameron Diaz, who is a beautiful actress, is eager to support Al Gore and his efforts to help keep the world clean, save the animals, and reduce carbon emissions. Cameron has committed to giving speeches on behalf of the organization, as well as travel around the country with Al Gore in an effort to spread the word. It is often with the help of such said celebrities that Al Gore can help raise the awareness to such a tragic, yet important daily occurrence.
The list of accomplishments for Cameron can seem like a mile long, but being a part of Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth campaign is perhaps her best moment yet. Being able to interact with people all around the world for one common goal is perhaps the best experience that anyone can face. To have the support of millions of people is the greatest encouragement that Cameron can have, and is perhaps what propels her to strive and do her best day after day with Al Gore. There is a lot to be learned, and so much to be gained from volunteering to take a stance for global warming and the betterment of every society. Thanks to celebrities like Cameron Diaz and Al Gore, they can both make a world of a difference.
