When I went to look at the top searches on AOL Search from yesterday, I wondered who Nicole Mitchell and Tracey Edmonds were. It turns out that they are both linked to Eddie Murphy. Now, I knew that Eddie Murphy recently had a baby with Scary Spice. I also knew that he had a plethora of kids from his other marriage. What I did not know is that his first marriage in 1993 to Nicole Mitchell was totally extravagant. Their ceremony was listed in the top weddings for Forbes from that year.

So, why are people searching for Nicole Mitchell now? I guess it is because this past weekend, Eddie proposed to his new girlfriend Tracey Edmonds. He presented her with a massive yellow diamond and she accepted his proposal. Rumor has it that this time Eddie will not have the extravagant affair that he did last time. It will probably be more exclusive to close family and friends. I wonder if Melanie Brown will be invited. As a side note, I think it is interesting that Murphy’s former bride beat out his new fiancé on our list today, don’t you?

I have always loved Steve Martin … I think it was the first time I saw the movie ‘Roxanne’ as a little girl. Or maybe it was the ‘Wild and Crazy Guys‘ sketch on old school ‘SNL’? Not only is he a fantastic actor, the 61-year-old is also a newlywed! Martin married his girlfriend, Anne Springfield, over the weekend and we see her as a top search on AOL Search in the aftermath of the event.

In a surprise ceremony over the weekend, Anne and Steve tied the knot. The 75 invited guests showed up to his house thinking that they were attending a party. But to their surprise, it was a wedding ceremony! Amongst the shocked guests were other A-listers Tom Hanks and Diane Keaton. Everyone watched as the ‘Father of the Bride’ star turned into the groom.

I think that it is very fun that they decided to have a surprise wedding. If I ever get married, maybe I will do that. Think about how crazy it would be if people thought that they were coming to a party and it was secretly a wedding. People would be buzzing about the wedding for weeks. The surprise also probably kept the paparazzi away from the ceremony for Martin because they did not know about the event.

It seems like all people can talk about these days is the Beckhams. They move to the U.S. and have a lavish party thrown for them with all the Hollywood glitterati that you can imagine. It also seems that people are always searching for Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice. Maybe they find her life interesting? Maybe they think her husband is hot? Either way, Victoria has been a major player in our top searches lately.

This time, Posh is in the news dealing with the aftermath of her recent reality TV show, ‘Coming to America.’ Apparently, the show was not received entirely well by the American audience. Posh feels that Americans did not get her humor and that is why the reaction was not entirely positive.

It seems that all the people I talked to that watched her show liked it. If anything it made me like Victoria even more. She was funny and had a sense of self depreciating humor that I totally did not expect from her. So I do not understand what all the bad press is about. I do know that they had planned to tape more than one show, but after all the footage was collected they decided that a one time special was the way to go. I was kind of disappointed … I wanted to see more Victoria.

People have been pondering the future of ‘The Price is Right’ ever since Bob Barker made his departure last month. There have been rumors that Rosie would take over as well as some other B-listers, but apparently Drew Carey took the deal. He announced at a taping of David Letterman on Monday that he would be taking over for Bob this fall. ‘Price’ is the longest running game show in history and according to Drew, he plans to keep it that way.

I am not really sure what my thoughts and feelings are on Drew Carey. I really like ‘Whose Line is it Anyway?’ - but otherwise I have not really liked anything else that he has done. Barker was such a lovable character for ‘Price’ (except for the sexual harassment accusations). Hopefully Carey will take over and bring the comedy that he is known for to the set of ‘The Price is Right.’ Otherwise, I will not be watching.

We all know that Posh and Katie Holmes are BFFs, so it is no shocker that Mrs. Cruise was super excited for her buddy to move to L.A. It was only appropriate that Katie collaborate with her husband and their other celeb power couple, Jada and Will Smith, to organize a big event to properly welcome Posh and Becks to their new home. Hollywood rolled out the red carpet for the two and the celeb turnout was strong.

The star-studded bash was held yesterday at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Geffen Contemporary gallery and Hollywood was out in full force. Attendees at the event included Eva Longoria, Ashton and Demi and Wesley Snipes. Pretty much anyone who is an A-lister was invited to the party. Limos and helicopters rushed in the A-list elite to the celebration, while the honored couple arrived with TomKat. Talk about being welcomed in style!

My friends and co-workers will all tell you that I am an over-packer. Whenever I go anywhere I am the person with the most luggage on the trip. People may make fun of my tendency to over pack, but I just look at is as being prepared. On top of the requisite toiletry and wardrobe items, I always have plenty of entertainment items with me. Trust me, I have been in enough situations when my flight has been delayed and I have had nothing to do. That is the worst!

Looking at the travel essentials people search for on AOL Search, it looks like you are prepared too. I could never go anywhere without my iPod and before I leave on a trip, I always make sure that my playlists and movies are updated. I also always have at least one book and many magazines. And yes, I am that nerd that brings her laptop with her when she travels. I really should look into get a portable DVD player for trips, but a video camera is where I draw the line … being on camera makes me nervous.
