Amy Come Home……………..
The troubled life of soul super star Amy Winehouse has taken more twists and turns that a slippery snake over the last few weeks, ever since her husband was arrested and retained for allegedly trying to pervert the course of justice. While Ms Winehouse already seemed in trouble before her husband was arrested, she has gone down hill of late and appears in need of real help.
Many had hoped that her tour would help to take her mind of her troubled private life, but rumours of alcohol and substance abuse have plagued the tour, audiences have been dismayed at her appearance and performances and the tour has thankfully been cut short. In deed today we see Amy Winehouse’s mother appeal to her daughter through the printing of an emotional letter in one of the UK’s popular tabloid newspapers. They want, they need, their daughter to return to the real world and get the help she so obviously requires.
Only last week Ms Winehouse was spotted walking around the streets near her home in a pair of jeans and a bra, she looked very confused and was obviously very distressed. Many in the media are now asking how her record company can sit by and allow this to happen, when surely she needs to be taken out of the limelight for a while.
Then again, Amy is up for 6 Grammies in the forthcoming awards, and as they say, any publicity is good publicity!
