Not content to wait for the big day to get trashed, papped and hungover, Kate Moss painted the town all kinds of colours last night ahead of her birthday to celebrate the big 3 5.

Among the guests to join her at top restaurant China Tang, were WAG Abbey Clancey with her footballer boyfriend Peter Crouch, legendary smooth US singer Lionel Richie and everyone’s favourite radio presenter, Chris Evans.

The group were seen leaving the posh central London hotel, after Moss put in her hard-working nine hours party time together with Hince.

Moss elegantly made her way home in her private car sporting her last bottle of plonk for the evening - along with a glass to gulp it down - one must not drink straight from the bottle you know!

Jade Goody today told the world of her intentions of asking God to help her cope with cervical cancer.

Yesterday the 27 year old entrepreneur and reality TV star made the shock announcement that her chance of surviving the cancer was as low as 40%.

Goody has underwent chemotherapy and subsequently lost her hair, and has take to wearing a scarf on her head.

In today’s interview with the Daily Mirror, Jade said, “I’ve always thought there’s a God although I’ve never been a churchy kind of person but now I think, Why not go to church? I’ve got a version of the Bible which is easy to read and I look through it when I’m feeling down. It really helps.

“And I’ve always prayed but now I do find it helps. Maybe the big man upstairs thinks, she’s a tough cookie, she can handle this. She’s watched her dad inject heroin, watched her mum do crack, she’s lost a baby, had boyfriends who’ve hit her. Yeah, she can handle this too.

“But I do think after this is over, God might think I’ve had more than my fair share to deal with.”

Goody was appearing in the Indian version of Big Brother last year when she learned the upsetting news about her illness.

She was called to the Diary Room by the show’s producers, who revealed that she had cervical cancer. She immediately left the house and returned home.

She had her womb removed after it was discovered the cancer had spread there, and she was originally given a 50-50 chance of survival.

Jade commented that she was finding coping with cancer all the more difficult without her boyfriend Jack Tweed, who is serving an 18 month jail sentence for assault, although he could be released this month on good behaviour.

“Both my boys are very loving and give me cuddles but they are different to having a cuddle with the man that you love when you’re not feeling well,” she said.

“We’re both going through the hardest times of our lives, but we’re doing it on our own. So if this doesn’t make us stronger and work as a couple, nothing will. Maybe we’ll be like Angelina and Brad!”

In another blow, Jade was advised to abandon her role in a panto on January 2, due to concerns over a blocked kidney.

Highest new single comes from a surprise entrant, irritating Celebrity Big Brother contestant, rap star Coolio, who has jumped in at number 31 with his old hit song, Gangster’s Paradise.

Take That’s The Circus lost its place at number one in the album charts after holding the coveted place for five glorious weeks. Their succeeders are Kings of Leon with their Only By The Night album.

Welsh sensation Duffy enjoyed huge success with her Rockyferry album, which became the best selling album of 2008 - and shows no signs of stopping as she remains at number three for a second week.

Kylie Minogue’s album, Boombox - The Remix Album 2000-2008 was the only new entry, in at number 28.

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has smashed previous records by becoming the first female solo artist to sell more than one million singles - but the poor girl is still only pocketing £250 for each show she performs. And there we were thinking these pop stars were living the life of luxury!

Her Christmas number one hit single Hallelujah - a cover of the Leonard Cohen original - became the best-selling song from a British woman of all time.

The single has been so successful, that it is making its merry way to becoming the best-selling single by any female the world over for this decade - which means it would overtake Kylie’s 2000 hit Spinning Around, which sold just under 1.1 million copies.

Burke also smashed another record with her single after it became the fastest-selling single by a female solo artist. Phew, the public are on her side!

However, the powerful singer is yet to gain American success like her predecessor Leona Lewis, despite Burke’s single outselling Leona’s. It is still early days though, as it took Leona a good while before she ‘broke the US’ market.

Leona’s debut album, Spirit, sold over 1.17 million copies in the US, which makes the 23 year old singer the seventh best-selling artist of 2008.

However, despite all that record breaking and singing her heart out, Alexandra Burke will still only receive £250 per concert as part of the X Factor sell-out tour.

Fellow contestants, Eoghan Quigg, Laura White, Diana Vickers and Rachel Hylton will receive a similar salary, while it has been reported that runners-up JLS will only get £100 each for their performances.

An insider said to the Daily Mirror newspaper, “The acts are worth much more, especially when you think how much money the tour generates.”

In fact the singers will pocket much less than £250 per show after taxes, 20 per cent commission for their agents on top of their own expenses. Hmm it’s not easy this pop star malarkey is it?

The Dublin gig went on sale for £30 to £45 per tickets and a show at London’s O2 Arena is set to take as much as £600,000.

All of the finalists have signed their souls away for the next six months, which bans them from performing any non X Factor show without prior permission.

‘I was brought up in a Catholic school and they told me gays were bad, adultery was bad and drugs were bad.

‘At the same time, all my mum’s friends were gay, my dad was having various affairs and there were drugs in the house when I was a kid – so it was a bit cruel.’

The 24 year old singer is now asking that other religions update themselves in order to fit in better with modern multi-cultural, dynamic British life, ‘Why is [BBC TV program] Songs Of Praise always Christian? Where’s the Hindu Songs Of Praise?

Reports after Jett Travolta’s autopsy have revealed that John Travolta’s teenage son died from a ‘seizure disorder’.

Jett was just 16 years old when he collapsed and died suddenly on Friday (2nd January 09) in the bathroom of his family’s hotel in the Bahamas.

His autopsy was carried out at the Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Grand Bahama on Monday (5th January 09).

Though his cause of death has not been officially released, it is reported to be due to seizure disorder.

Jett’s parents, actor John Travolta, famous for his role in classic Grease, and more recently films like Hairspray, and his wife Kelly Preston are said to be upset over conflicting reports over their son’s death, including rumours that Jett was left alone for 10 hours, which they say are untrue.

Other reports have said that the couple withheld medication from their son who, they say, has been suffering from rare condition Kawasaki disease, since he was a toddler.

Kawasaki disease is extremely rare, and results in the inflammation of vital organs and blood vessels. The disease also occurs, almost always, only in toddlers and rarely results in seizures.

It is believed that the anti-convulsion drug he was taking to reduce his seizures had stopped working effectively and had begun causing him health problems such as problems with his liver. The couple apparently decided to stop giving him the drugs when he started having seizures more frequently than before he was on them.

Obie Wilchombe, Bahemian politician and close friend to the Travolta family, has said that: ‘There was a lot of anxiety over the pathology report. It moves them towards closure so they can move on with the next step.’

According to their friend, his parents are struggling to accept his death, and didn’t want to leave him alone at the morgue.

John and Kelly were anxious to get the autopsy carried out as soon as possible. After it was conducted, Jett’s body was moved to Grand Bahama’s Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium.

Separated by a glass screen, his parents stayed beside his body for hours. Obie said: ‘John and Kelly looked at Jett through a glass screen, and John’s words were, ‘That’s my son’.
‘John was quiet and in a lot of pain. It has been the beginning of what can only be described as the worst day of his life.’

Even though Jett was reported to have hit his head on the bath as he fell due to the seizure, officials at the Restview Memorial Mortuary have reported that his body was in good condition and showed no signs of a serious head injury.

John, who is trained as a pilot, is reported to have told friends that he wanted to fly Jett’s body back to Florida yesterday (6th January 09). The family are also reported to be keen to return home as soon as they can.

I think if we were to hazard a guess as to what Kylie’s type might be, we would probably suggest something along the lines of tall, dark, gorgeous and hot male model a plus!

Her latest squeeze, Spaniard Andres Velencoso, is even hotter than her ex Olivier Martinez - and we all thought he would be a hard act to follow!

The aussie pop princess excitedly announced her new 6ft 4in love interest this week as the formal replacement for boyfriend of four years and compulsive cheater, Martinez.

The singer also treated her younger model to a spot of snowboarding lessons,

‘Kylie was very good at it’ said an on-looker.

‘But Andres has never done it before and obviously needed lessons. On his first day, he kept on losing his balance and falling over in the snow…Kylie tried to help…’

Woman of the moment Cheryl Cole has admitted that lucky husband Ashley Cole is off the hook for his ‘horrendous’ affair a year ago as he is ‘mentally’ immature.

The pop star revealed that she was able to move on from the incident of the footballer’s indiscrepency with hairdresser Aimme Walton, because her hubbie is ‘mentally young for his age’.

Girls Aloud member, Cheryl talked about how upset she was at the time, as she appeared on the front cover of Vogue for the first time. ‘It was horrendous’ the stunner said of the fling, but she is letting her man off after telling,

‘Look, Ashley’s young, and he’s got a young mentality for his age anyway.’It was horrendous,’ she said.

‘He’s learning. He has a beautiful soul, he’s a really nice guy, and I’m not stupid, you know — I’m really not. I know what I’m doing.

‘I’ve had enough knocks to know what the circumstances are, you know, and I’m happy. If other people aren’t, that’s their problem.’

However, it is not easy being married to Ashley, the 26 year old reveals, as she is still trying to ground him and bag more alone time,

‘He’ll agree to go to dinner with me, then someone will call and ask him to do a charity event on the same night — and he’ll say to them, ‘I’m there’. Then he’ll be too afraid to tell me until it’s time to go.’

He does make life difficult for himself, but — annoying as it is — I suppose it’s quite sweet in a man. And quite rare, too.’

Meanwhile, the singer talked about her weight battles as she was starting out in the group and trying to follow Jennifer Aniston’s weight loss plan.

‘In the first year of Girls Aloud, I went up to a 29in waist. I remember crying because I was 9½st when I’m only 5ft 3in’, says Cole.

‘Jennifer Aniston was doing the Atkins diet at the time and I thought I’d give it a try. I remember I ate the same thing — chicken in cream sauce with a couple of carrots — every night for weeks. I felt just horrible, but I was on this mission.’

The star also reveals that she suffered a broken heart in her early twenties and became clinically depressed.

‘I do worry about things, I’m probably going to end up dying with worry. I was clinically depressed once after a bad relationship. We have it in the family.’
